Baby Shower For TWIN BOYS!!!

Such an unforgettable shower for the twins… and ME!  I would like to start this with a HUGE thank you to all the AMAZING people in my life that worked so hard to make the shower so spectacular.  Pam, Addie, Megan, Sherry, Jayna, Christy, Diana, April, Jesique, Moosh, Racguel, John, Eil, and Curtis.  To all of you, thank you so much!!!!  It is a day I will never forget!

The theme for the shower came from my brilliantly creative sister in law Christy “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn”. Once that was decided we had what I can only call “The Crandall Baby Shower Committee Meeting”.  My sister Addie had printed out an itinerary of all topics that needed to be discussed and the planning begun!
This crib was my HUGE surprise!!!  Christy had come early to the shower saying she needed help running a couple last minute errands and I had offered to go with her.  When we arrived back there was this incredibly beautiful crib that my dad John and Curtis and assembled while we were out.  I NEVER in my wildest dreams thought that Carter and Charlie would have a brand new Crib of their own.  Thank you so much Sherry, Christy, and Jayna!

Addie designed the invitations and Moosh (at no charge) printed them for us.  Then Jayna and Christy sacrificed life, limb, and finger to sew the burlap to the backs of every invitations. They turned out so cute, thanks you ladies for all the hard work!

Curtis and I!
Christy, Megan, Addie, and Pam all spent weeks working on what I think is the best diaper cake thus far but I may be a little bias!  The sling shot and marbles in the pockets was such an ingenious touch!  My family is so creative!

Diana and Megan created one of my favorite areas to hang out at.... "Carmel Apple Bar"!  So many sweet little toppings, I had to try them ALL!!!!
27 Weeks Pregnant!!!

I felt big then...... boy was I in for a surprise!!!!!!!

Everyone contributed to the "Photo Booth"!  We had all sorts of fun props!  Curtis and I HAD to test it out!
Or as you can tell by the expression on Curtis face, I MADE him test it out with me!  What a wonderful husband!

This was one of the biggest projects for the shower.  Addie and her very handy husband Eli created the authentic lemonade sign and stand.  Here we had everything from "Aunt Polly's Lemonade", "Judge Thatcher Ice Tea", "Pop's Moonshine", and Moonshine right out of the jug!  Jayna let us barrow her mason jars and April tied about 100 adorable little bows around every single one with tiny little tread!
Sherry was able to get an old copy of "Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn" that we were able to display and I will one day read to Carter and Charlie!

My dear sister in law Jayna was unable to attend the shower due to the AMAZING opportunity she had to travel to Scottland with her husband still slaved away making about 50 of the MOST DELICIOUS "First Place Rustic Pies" for the shower before she left!
The set up at the food table.
My mother Pam and sister Addie created picture fame using one of Christy's old picture frames and some fabric.  It was so fun to see old pictures of myself as a baby and what the boys might look like!!!!
Decorations for the tables!
More decoration!  No corner was unturned or untouched by the crafty hands of all these ladies!
This was the sign in table when you first entered the shower.  Sherry had found a HUGE "Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn" book that we used as a sign in book.  Everyone that came got to write a little something to the twins and Curtis and I.  I can't wait till the boys are old enough to read them all the good advice every one left for them and remind them how much I love them and they are loved by the people around them.  It is something I will cherish forever!

The Photo Booth!  Such a fun activity to do during a shower!
An up close look at the sign in book!  Oh and also right behind the book is a mason jar with blue tickets in it.  We included in the invitations that we would be doing a diaper raffle.  So all the guests that brought diapers with them were entered into the diaper raffle.  My beautiful friends Jesique and Racquel created the amazing gift baskets that were raffled off.  Jesique's basket was a "Date Night" basket with wine, wine glasses, chocolate, popcorn, and movie tickets! Raquels basket was a "All About Me" basket with nail polish, lotions, files, and much much more!  Thank you ladies!
April found these little "American Pies" that were just too perfect for the favors.
She wrapped each individual pie with the picnic patterned cloth and tied "To Sweet of you to come!" on every pie!  This was such a hit and I know must have taken hours to do!  Thank you April!

Curtis and my Dad taking a well deserved rest after having assembled the crib in the hour Christy and I were gone!
To add the cherry to the top of the surprise of the amazing crib.... Sherry, Christy, and Jayna also got us this desperately needed and so cute double stroller!  How blessed am I!!!!!
The banner you see stung above the window was crafted by the once again talented April!  Its hard to tell in this picture but she sewed each burlap triangle on the line and each letter onto the burlap with red tread.  So detailed!
Christy created the VERY popular "Fresh Farm Fruit" skewers and......
"Widow Douglas Hummus", and......
"Becky's Garden Dip" and last but not least......
"Injun Joe's Chicken Sandwitches"!
Sherry was the master mind behind "Big Jim's BBQ Ball's".
A picture of the food table in all its gloy before being attached by 50 hungry women!  My sister Addie came up with the brilliant idea for the food labels and names.
My SUPER creative mother Pam did all the table linens, set up, placement of the "roadsideia" in all the vases and mason jars and so much more to make this day perfect for me!  Thank you Mama!!!!
My shock of seeing the crib for the first time!
Still in shock that moved to.....
endless giggles over the adorable crib!
Had to touch it to make sure it was really real!!!!!!!!!
Blessed and spoiled little boys!
I'm pretty sure EVERY person that came to the shower brought diapers with them for the diaper raffle!  With twins I'm definitely going to need them and am SO SO SO thankful to everyone that came with them!
Every little detail was perfect!
Before the crib was set up!

My Mom (with the assistance of John and Curtis) created and hung the overall clothing line that everyone "Ooh and Aahed" over and Addie (with the help of Curtis) tied and pinned the bandana banner boarder (say that tree times fast) you can see behind the overalls.

All in all at this time in my life I feel so blessed to not only be pregnant but pregnant with twins!  To be able to celebrate this time with all my close family and friends is so amazing!  All of your support and love during this pregnancy means the world to Curtis and I.  We love you all so much and are so appreciative of all that you did for the shower and continue to do to for us and the boys day to day!
